Welcome.
If you have just stumbled across Pathfinder’s Crumb and you are wondering what this place is, this page is for you.
Pathfinder’s Crumb is a small lantern-lit bakery at a crossroads in a quiet valley.
On this website, you are not reading recipes or a business blog. You are stepping into a story that takes place in and around that bakery. The chapters follow the people who pass through, the roads that meet at the crossroads, and the way a simple table can change a life.
You can read the story here for free, one chapter at a time.
If you are new, begin with the first book in the story:
Book I – The First Pathfinder
Start at Chapter 1 and read in order.
When you finish Book I, you can continue with:
Book II – The Way of the Pathfinders
Most of what you will see here is the main story. These are the books that follow the bakery, the crossroads, and the people who gather there over time.
You may also see some shorter pieces called Small Roads or Side Roads. These are extra stories that wander a little to the side. They might step into a back alley, a side path, or a single moment between chapters.
The main story is the best place to start.
The Side Roads are there when you want a smaller piece you can read in one sitting.
Some chapters include their own music. On those pages, you will see a small YouTube player near the top, usually in the top right corner.
If you see a YouTube video in the corner of a chapter, it is not an ad. It is the optional music written for that chapter. Press play if you want a quiet background while you read, or ignore it if you prefer silence.
For a little more detail you can link to the full explainer page:
The story at Pathfinder’s Crumb was written by someone who thinks a lot about questions of meaning, doubt, and faith. Those questions sometimes echo in the way characters talk, argue, and hope, but this is a work of fiction, not a sermon. It is not tied to any one church or denomination.
If you want to know more about how faith and fiction meet here, you can read a short note:
“Every long road begins with one small step toward the nearest light.”
