Stories of crossroads, lanterns, and the roads we take together.
Welcome to the home of the Pathfinder's CRUMB universe—a cozy, mythic world of lantern light, stone circles, and small roads that change everything.
Main Road
The COre Novels That Carry the central Story
It’s the stretch of history set in a small winter valley where two roads meet: the north–south road of Faith and the east–west road of Fate. Here, bakers, millers, candlekeepers, and pilgrims learn what it means to “keep the roads” – not by raising armies, but by sharing bread, light, and stubborn kindness when it would be easier to choose a side and walk away.
This era follows the people of the Crossroads village and Brookfell on the hill above it: Crumb and his circle, Liora the Candlekeeper, Ash the road-worn pilgrim, and the apprentices who will carry their lanterns beyond the valley. The Crossroads Era is about small circles, shared tables, and the third path that appears when every choice seems broken.
Side Roads
small roads that branch off the main path but share the same world and timeline.
Side Roads is where the smaller paths of the Pathfinder's world live. Here you will find short stories and little “found” pieces like journal entries, letters, or almanac pages. Some brush up against moments you may recognize from the main books. Others simply sit in a side street, by a back gate, or at a table you have not visited yet.
You do not have to read anything here in a particular order, and you do not need to keep track of a larger plot. Each piece is meant to stand on its own, like turning down a side road just to see what is there. Together, they offer a slower way to wander the valley, meet its people in smaller moments, and spend time in this world even when you only have a few pages’ worth of time.
